ANCHORAGE, Alaska (March 28, 2011) -- Nakayama Studios LLC, in association with Iron Mountain Gaming, has announced the creation of a newly formed partnership, with the intention of opening a new photographic studio in Anchorage by the Summer of 2012.  The studio, which is to be formally known as "Nakayama Studios Cold Mountain" will be located in the business center on the corner of E. 16th Ave and Muldoon Rd in Eastern Anchorage.  The studio will share the location with Iron Mountain Gaming, a new venture in the Alaskan tabletop & RPG gaming market.

On March 25 the CEO of Nakayama Studios Richard Rasner met with Iron Mountain head Randy Holiday in Anchorage to shake hands and officially seal the deal.  With that, Nakayama Studios Cold Mountain with become the third studio currently in the Nakayama Studios chain of locations, with additional locations currently in Riverside, CA and Beijing China.  (Previous Nakayama Studios locations "The Rorschach Complex" in Colton, CA and "J2 Portraits" in Ephrata, PA have been cut loose from the Nakayama Studios lineup and should no longer in any way be considered associated with the company.)  Nakayama Studios Riverside had a soft opening in December of 2010, and is expected to have a grand opening celebration in May of 2011.  Nakayama Studios Beijing has been in operation at the "Goose N' Duck" building since November 2009, but is expected to move to a new location within Beijing shortly.  Future planned locations for Nakayama Studios include (in order of opening dates) Las Vegas NV, Dallas TX, Tel Aviv Israel, Seattle WA and New Orleans, LA.

Nakayama Studios Cold Mountain will serve the rental studio and photographic needs of all the greater Anchorage area, including the combined military bases of Elmendorf AFB and Ft. Richardson, as well as the outlying communities of Eagle River, Chugiak, Wasilla, & Palmer.  The 25,000 sq foot location will include multiple sets and backdrops, as well as dedicated makeup and changing areas.  In addition, Cold Mountain will be the hub for the social networking needs of the photography and modeling community in the area, hosting free networking events and offering classes for all levels of students and professionals.  Celebrity photographer and Nakayama Studios CEO Richard Rasner has promised to attend all major functions at the new studio, and will personally oversee the interior construction of the new site to make sure it meets Nakayama Studios standards for excellence and green environmental low carbon output.
